How to Ship a Guitar For Servicing/repairs

I've recently realized an increase in outstation repairs ( guitars that are shipped in), For some who are already pandai with guitar shipping, coooool. However , i did receive some which are potentially dangerous for the guitars. I've decided to post this FOOLPROOF instructions, i've illustrated with an acoustic guitar. Its same with electric and others guitars. Check it out.

First step First, CALL me. and i'll email/fax you a copy that looks like below.

Its a picture of Your guitar!!

Tell me your complains or what every you wanna do with the guitar by drawing as below:

Put this paper in together with your guitar .

I'll send you an acoustic version if its an acoustic.

Alot of people find shipping a guitar hassle.. but really.. its simple, we ship guitars in and out everyday without any problems at all. follow the below steps, and youre good to go!

Step 1 : BORROW A CASE!!!! or even better still, if you have one. Please DONT send your guitar over without a case. I worked in despatch during my PMR years as a KULI... I know how postal service STACK things up to maximise space. Althought its not 100% enough, but as my Guru said... A hardcase is Like a Condom.. It make sure shit doesnt happen , but if it does.. its only like 5% of the time.... so please.. use a case.

Step 2: Loosen the strings - It make sure the neck doesnt have any tension on it, so in an event of a budge or shock . Your neck is safe. Some customers loosen the trust rod, however, its not necessary.Just loosen the strings.

Step 3: Fill Up the Gaps.
All cases ( unless custom made one's) are not a "perfect tite fit" , so, you'll need to "make " paddings. If you have buble wraps ( of foams) , better!. If not, News paper will do the trick. The picture im showing is using old news paper. Just make sure its packed very densed. important place to fill up. A good way to know if you packed properly , is to close the case, and SHAKE IT . If you hear a rattle, its not good( fill more paper). But if you dont! move on down.

Step 4: To serve and to Protect!!
Put some paper below the string!

Step 5: ALL SET!!! should look something like this. ( here is where you should put in the repair sheet that you print , and other things that you want to send to me, guitar parts , strings, choclates and candys. However, we do have all type of parts and strings in stock , so choclate and candys will do.

Step 6: WARNING> DONT LOCK YOUR GUITAR CASE!!!!!!!!...... you guys should know wat happend to me b4... After that , WRAP the case up , with papers or better still cardbox. Make sure the shape dont resemble a guitar, or the postal guys will have a jamming session behind the storage . after youre done. Stick a FRAGILE sign all over it. be good to put this.

AWAS!!! ADA KACA Di-DALAM...

Althought they dont really care.. but its better then none...
